Megan comes to us with 6 years of dance teaching experience and an impressive dance background of her own. Megan was born and raised in Orlando Florida and moved to Loveland last summer to adventure and explore a new part of the United States. She started dancing at the age of 3 and danced competitively until she was 18 years old. In fact she attended Lake Mary High School, a very well known school in the dance community and she was a member of a National Championship dance team. Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and also earned her Associates degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Valencia College. While in college she was a professional dancer for Emotions Dance Company and also volunteered teaching developmentally disabled children dance. After college, she taught ASL at a high school in her home town but was longing for adventure and wanting to pursue her goal of interpreting for children who are deaf. Megan is currently an ASL interpreter for Poudre School District and a dance teacher. She loves teaching dance and is “thrilled” to be Rocky Mountain High School’s new dance coach!
