Swimming started for me every day in Mulberry Pool as a child with my dad. He coached my brother and I in Mulberry as well as on the Country Club swim team. Once I began high school swimming at Poudre, I enjoyed it even more. Vortex was my next step into becoming a more skilled swimmer and I continued to swim for them throughout high school. After high school I went to Iowa and swam for the Iowa Lakes Lakers. I squeezed as much info out of the school and swim program as I could before returning to CSU. Here, I swam on the club team and had a blast competing once again. At this point I had been giving private lessons at the Country Club and eventually started coaching masters for the Fort Collins Club. Next, it was time to start assistant coaching. It started with Rocky in 2016, then Bucking Horse in the summer. After one year of assisting Bucking Horse, I became the head coach and have been coaching those kids ever since. My swimming background is rooted in technique, efficiency, and injury-preventing dry land workouts. Swimming is one of my favorite things to do and spreading swim knowledge is next after that.
