RMHS SOFTBALL INFO

Softball will hold optional mini-camp/workouts – Aug. 4^th & 6^th @ RMHS softball field, as follows:

• Freshmen & Sophomores – 8:30am-9:45 am
• Juniors & Seniors – 9:45 am-11:00 am

Girls interested in attending any optional mini-camp/workouts, must arrive each day wearing a mask and either:

1. Bring a completed/signed PSD waiver to coach the first time athlete shows up or any skill sessions – CLICK HERE

         OR

2. Bring in an orange card at first session athlete shows up to.

TRYOUTS – AUG 10, 11, 12 – at Beattie Elementary softball fields.  9-10:30 am

Arrive each day wearing a mask, bring: orange card on Aug. 12,  bats, gloves, helmets, water, snacks, hand sanitizer, etc.

Players CANNOT share equipment.

Team selection and cuts will be made Aug. 12.

Beginning week of Aug. 10, official practices will take place from 4:15-6:00 pm for the duration of the season.

Official start date for Softball is Aug. 10.  All athletes must have their orange card turned in by Aug. 10 in order to participate. 

To obtain an orange card “permit to practice” athlete & parent must complete steps #1-3 of the registration process found at:  https://poudreathletics.sportngin.com/register/form/013279837.

Step #1 involves getting a current physical asap. If a current Rocky athlete’s physical has not expired by Aug. 10, and, steps #2 & #3 have been recently completed…an orange card can be issued and good until physical expires, and pending eligibility checks. If current athlete’s physical has expired, no orange card will be issued until a new physical has been brought in.

The only Middle School 9^th grade physicals Rocky has received are from Blevins. No Webber physicals have been received.

RMHS office hours for week of Aug. 3-7 is as follows:

Tuesday, Aug. 4-7, from 9-12 and 1-3:00 pm

Week of Aug. 10-13 office hours are 8-4:15 pm (8/14, office closed for PSD training).

a)   PSD IS ACCEPTING OUR PSD PHYSICAL FORM (not the recommended CHSAA PPE in the included in the mandate above).
b)  STUDENT (OR PARENT) WILL FILL OUT THE COVID-19 PRE-PARTICIPATION QUESTIONS AT TIME OF ORANGE CARD ISSUANCE.
c)   THE WAIVER OF COVID LIABILITY HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN THE SPORTS ENGINE REGISTRATION PROCESS (as of 7/29/20). IF ATHLETE HAS REGISTERED BEFORE 7/29, A PAPER COPY IS AVAILABLE/REQUIRED TO BE SIGNED AT TIME OF ORANGE CARD ISSUANCE.
